iPhone Interface & Portal Overview
Texterity's Digital Magazine iPhone Interface & Portal provides a collection
of magazines that can be viewed through Texterity's interface, which leverages the Safari browser
built in to the Apple iPhone or iPod touch.
No additional applications, downloads, or other software are required. Users can
instantly view entire magazines as they were originally published, with all pages completely
readable.
Texterity is currently providing free and open access to a great
selection of over 50 consumer and business magazines to all iPhone and iPod touch users.
The iPhone Interface & Portal enables publishers to reach the
increasingly mobile reader by providing iPhone and iPod touch users with immediate access to their magazine issues.
The system leverages the iPhone and iPod touch's ability to view a complete magazine
in a portable format that can be viewed virtually everywhere. With one tap, an iPhone or iPod touch user
can read their favorite magazine at any time.
Texterity's iPhone Interface & Portal delivers the same high levels
of innovation and usability represented by the iPhone and iPod touch, and includes the following features:
- An iPhone Magazine Portal with access to all magazines from one URL via the iPhone browser
- "One-Click" access to any magazine, with the ability to browse through all the magazine thumbnails
- Seamless integration of the popular digital magazine features, including Table of Contents,
Search, and Share (Send to a Friend) from the iPhone interface
- Thumbnail view of all pages in the magazine with "instant access" to any page by tapping the iPhone
- A high-quality digital replica of the print edition, including all graphics and original layout
